COVID-19 Notice 4-24-2020

Please read this COVID -19 important message in its entirety

Leyden Township Water Customer,
In response to the current COVID -19 outbreak and the Governor’s Executive Order 2020-10, Leyden Township has taken the following actions to “Slow The Spread”.

  •  Leyden Township is providing Essential Services only at this time.

  • All Township buildings are closed to the public, including the Town Hall.

  • Limited Township staff will be at the Town Hall on modified hours, Monday thru Friday and others are working remotely. Again, the Town Hall and all other Township facilities are closed.
  • Your inquiries will be addressed quicker when made to: info@leydentownship.com. This email address is monitored 24/7.
  • The Township’s general phone number, 847-455-8616, will not be answered when you call. Please leave a message and your call will be addressed as soon as possible. Please be concise with your message and please repeat your phone number. Please include your email address if you have one.

    Property Transfers and Final Readings
    To schedule a final water meter inspection please email info@leydentownship.com. Five business days’ notice is required to inspect the meter, lateral service line and the right of way. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak some conditions may apply and additional time may be required to produce a final statement.

    Unincorporated Leyden Township Residents
  • The street repaving project throughout the unincorporated has started east of Mannheim Road
  • Garbage, recycling, bulk and yard waste collection will continue on the regular Tuesday schedule.
  • Branch collection is suspended until further notice. Please do not place branches in the right of way.
