“Working Together For a Better Community”.

Leyden Township provides services and programs for the residents of the unincorporated area. Our first priority is to provide water service and road maintenance to the residents of the unincorporated area.  We also provide special services to the senior citizens and the disabled residents of the unincorporated area.  Qualified residents can enroll in our snow plowing and grass cutting program’s for a nominal fee.

The Highway Department is responsible for roads in the unincorporated area.  Since this area is not part of a village or a city, the Township is responsible for the roads, and Cook County is responsible for building and zoning.
